Overview

TCG Basics

Parallel is a trading card game (TCG) battler where players in 1 v 1 battles to reduce their opponent's life points to 0.

Deck

Each player starts deck comprised of 40 total cards
Players must choose 1 Paragon (Hero) from one of the 5 factions and include this in the deck
Decks must be built based on the selected Paragon's faction, and cannot be mixed with other factions, except for Universal faction cards
Limit of 3 identical cards per deck, except Legendary cards (limit of 1)

Game Start

Players start with a total of 30 life points, game ends when one reaches 0
Players must choose 1 Paragon (Hero) from one of the 5 factions and include this in the deck
A random player is selected to start the game
Players start in the Mulligan Phase, drawing an initial hand of 5 cards, choosing which to keep or redraw

Basic Gameplay

Players draw a card at the start of their turn, and gain Energy equal to the number of cards Banked
Once a turn, a player may Bank any card from their Hand to gain Energy
Players play cards from their hand, limited by the amount of Energy Banked
Limit of 3 identical cards per deck, except Legendary cards (limit of 1)

Card Effects

Armed: Unit deals damaged before non-Armed Units. If both units are Armed, combat resolves normally
Assault: If damage was done to Enemy player in a turn, playing a Unit triggers the associated ability.
Attuned: At the start of a player's turn, the Unit changes between Dormant and Awakened states
Battle Ready: Unit can attack on the turn it is played instead of waiting 1 turn
Decay: At the beginning of the turn, the Unit and any adjacent Units take 1 damage
Defender: Enables the Unit to optionally block attacks targeting the Player or another Unit
Evasive: Unit's attack cannot be blocked by Defender Units
Muster: Unit's ability triggers when it is played on the Board
Pacifist: Unit cannot attack
Shielded: Unit is immune to the next enemy effect card that targets it
